Power, when it is done right, is service. My role is to create the right space. To read what is needed. To engage the behaviors that allow another person to let go safely. To become what is required, not what flatters me.
This is not about proving strength or feeding ego or performing authority. It is the deliberate expenditure of will in service of someone who has chosen to trust me with theirs.
My responsibility is to hold two wills at once. Mine, steady and intact. Theirs, freely given, never taken. I guide the descent carefully, only along paths we have named together, only within boundaries that have been spoken aloud and agreed upon in advance.
And when the fall is complete, when the mind has softened and the body has opened, I am still there. Present. Attentive. Ready to bring them back gently, fully, into warmth, grounding, and care.
